Abstract
This literature review takes a personal approach by identifying challenges as I grew in my clinical skills through education and internship. I will present burnout issues within the behavioral health professional field while intersecting with dance/movement therapy (DMT) as I experienced and witnessed it. In addition, DMT is proposed and supported as a useful tool to increase protective factors that prevent burnout.
